Spy Pond Friends logo

The 20th Annual Spy Pond Fun Day, sponsored by the Friends of Spy Pond Park, is set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Spy Pond, near the end of Linwood Street. The rain date is Sunday, Sept. 25, between the same hours. Lokensgard's Brass is scheduled to present live music.

Organizers say that those attending will be able to participate in scavenger hunts and puzzles -- and to learn about the local flora and fauna of Spy Pond by engaging in nature activities for the young and the young at heart.

Spy Pond Fund DayThis year the Arlington Land Trust will not be able to transport visitors to Elizabeth Island, the small island in the pond. However, those with their own canoes or kayaks may land on the island and walk the trails at any time during the event.
