UPDATED Dec. 6: The Arlington Heights Community Association, with support from the Arlington Commission for Arts and Culture and the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, presents this year’s Arlington Heights Holiday Stroll & Tree Lighting on Saturday, Dec. 11, from 2 to 5 p.m.
Visitors of all ages can enjoy viewing 52 winter-themed painted windows in 21 business storefronts and are invited to support our Arlington businesses by dining and shopping locally. Free family fun activities will take place throughout the afternoon. The Roasted Granola Café, 1346 Mass. Ave., will be serving hot apple cider and a snowman character will be strolling along Mass. Ave. handing out treats.
This free, family-fun activity includes outdoor games ― such as cornhole and ring toss ― held in front of the bus depot, 1389 Mass. Ave., so it won’t interfere with families walking by, Janet O’Riordan, Arlington Heights Community Association, told the Select Board on Nov. 22.

FAMILY GAMES Come play Corn Hole and Candy Cane Ring Toss games outdoors in front of the Heights Bus Depot on Massachusetts Avenue.

This event is free and open to all. The rain/snow date for the holiday stroll is Sunday, Dec. 12, from 2 to 5 p.m.
Hanukkah lantern walk held
Nov. 29: Enjoy a festive lantern walk on Saturday, Dec. 4, from 4 to 5 p.m., in Arlington Center (snow/rain date: Dec. 5).
Parents and their children ages 3 to 8 are to arrive at Kickstand Café, 594 Mass. Ave., at 3:30 p.m., where the children can assemble Hanukkah lanterns on the café’s outdoor tables.
Strolling musicians will lead the one-hour parade along Mass. Ave. and Broadway, before returning to Kickstand. The café will then serve hot chocolate, and participants can bring doughnuts, which are part of the Hanukkah holiday tradition, said Stephanie Marlin-Curiel, Arlington’s Commission for Arts and Culture, at the Nov. 22 Select Board meeting.
