Giving Tuesday: 4 local options
#GivingTuesdayNow, on May 5, has a number of Arlington options:
- The Town of Arlington has launched of the Arlington Covid-19 Relief Fund and is seeking donations to help residents in need during and after the pandemic.
- Arlington EATS is working to address the dramatic increase in food insecurity in Arlington by providing additional food, staff time, and resources to meet the demand. The nonprofit is responding to a 50-percent increase in need for food access, and it is delivering to 250 families every week.
- Food Link is addressing the same needs. Its staff and volunteers are working around the clock, seven days a week to alleviate hunger and waste in eastern Massachusetts.
- Remember LexFarm on GivingTuesdayNow. LexFarm has renewed its commitment of provide 10 percent of what we grow to those experiencing food insecurity in the MetroBoston region. We continue to work with two food-rescue partners, Food Link and Boston Area Gleaners. Donate here >>
