UPDATED June 18: Some town administrative offices are to be closed Wednesday, June 19, for the Juneteenth holiday. Trash and recycling collection are postponed that day, with a one-day delay throughout the rest of the week; Friday’s collection is to be collected on Saturday. A list of affected offices is below. The Robbins and Fox libraries are both scheduled to be closed Wednesday. 

Sunday, June 23. from 2 to 5, is to be a celebration of the Black Patriots of Menotomy, Juneteenth and Prince Hall Day (which also has its own celebration the next evening) at the Whittemore-Robbins House lawn, 670R Mass. Ave., behind the Robbins Library.

With a poetry reading by Charles Coe, a food truck and DJs, this is a free event open to all ages provided through a joint effort of the town's Division of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Arlington 250 and Arts Arlington. More information can be learned here >>

  • Town Hall, 730 Mass. Ave.;
  • Senior Center, 27 Maple St.;
  • Recreation Office, 422 Summer St.;
  • DPW (Department of Public Works) Administrative, 51 Grove St.;
  • Inspectional Services, 51 Grove St.;
  • APD (Arlington Police Department) Records Room, 112 Mystic St.; and
  • Fire Administrative, 411 Mass. Ave.
