Six new projects
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Administrator Mary Muszynski presented Arlington’s fiscal 2024 funding requests to the Select Board at its Feb. 6 meeting.
“CDBG subrecipients are community based and town organizations that provide stable housing, public services, economic development opportunities, and accessible and safe infrastructure that help create a stronger, more livable and more resilient Arlington,” explained Muszynski in a Jan. 19 memo to the Select Board.
Arlington’s CDBG program received $1,412,918 in funding requests ― 21 applications and six new projects — from these sectors:
- Housing,
- Public facilities and infrastructure,
- Economic development,
- Public services and
- Planning and administration.

2022–2023 midyear performance update
In her memo to the Select Board, Muszynski wrote, “At the midpoint of Program Year 48, which began July 1, 2022, and runs through June 30, 2023, CDBG subrecipients have made notable progress toward achieving anticipated outcomes.”

At the Feb. 6 Select Board meeting, Muszynski said that the town’s 48th consecutive year of receiving HUD funding provides for a “wide arrange of uses for Arlington, especially lower-income households, such as affordable housing projects and public service activities.”
