UPDATED Nov. 18: Applications for the 48th year of the town's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program are available. The deadline to submit is Jan. 14.
Town planning invites applications for projects including affordable housing, economic development, parks, public facilities, infrastructure and public services from eligible applicants. The funding period for this grant is from July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023.
The CDBG Program was created in 1974 as part of Title I of the HCD ACT of 1974, as amended, and is run by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. CDBG provides annual grants on a formula basis to states, cities, and counties to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment, and by expanding economic opportunities, principally for people earning a low or moderate income.
