Town Tavern and Arlington Jazz present in-person Afro-Cuban Latin jazz experience featuring Los Zorros, free of charge, on Saturday, Sept. 25, from 9 to 11 p.m., at Town Tavern, 201 Mass. Ave. No cover.
Dan Fox, who leads the group, is also the owner of Arlington's Morningside Music Studio and director of ArlingtonJazz.Org. Los Zorros includes Fox, on trombone; Alexei Tsiganov, piano; Gregory Ryan, bass; Bertram Lehmann, drums; and Hilary Noble, sax and congas.
Fox has traveled to Cuba five times. Other members have toured the world with a variety of acclaimed acts and are faculty members at both Berklee College of Music and New England Conservatory.
This performance is part of a marathon fund-raiser for Dana Farber Cancer Research. Even though we have reached our goal, we will keep going with this fund drive for a great cause.
