In view of the current YourArlington poll about the governor's race, how have voters in Arlington registered? The town clerk's office reported the following Aug. 2 among 29,148 registered voters: Democrat, 14,063; unenrolled, 12,880; Republican, 2,205. To provide some historical perspective, the clerk's office also reported voter registration for the general elections in the following years: 2008Democrat, 14,028; unenrolled, 12,323; Republican, 2,294 2005Democrat, 14,380; unenrolled, 11,541; Republican, 2,703 2000Democrat, 13,861; unenrolled, 10,574; Republican, 3,328 |
