Tanzanian gospel recording artist Flora Mbasha, left, and Kukublu, a local drumming group, plan to perform in concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 11, at St. John's Church, 74 Pleasant St., to benefit the church and Rafiki Development Foundation (RDF), which does environmental and humanitarian work with children and families in Tanzania.

Opening will be Linda Shoemaker of the Arlington Center for the Arts and Mystic Drummers. She's accompanied by Louise Grasmere, Liz Penton, Barbara Gosselin, Marilyn Downs, Carlee Blamphin and Debbie Duguay.

Get ready to do some dancing in the pews and aisles of the historic church in Arlington. You are invited to spend an inspiring and dynamic evening with the performers.

On hand will be Deus Cosmos Isack, head of RDF and will host a reception after the concert where concert attendees can talk with the musicians and guests.

Entry is a requested donation of $15. There is open seating, but you are advised to call ahead to 781-648-4819 to make advance reservations, which will admit you 15 minutes before the doors open to the public. All are invited.
