The Arlington Family Connection's fifth annual Winter Beach Party, geared toward those 6 and younger, is set for Sunday, Feb. 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Gibbs Gym, 41 Foster St., East Arlington.

Admission will include pizza, ice cream, refreshments, as well as beach-related crafts, games, and DJ entertainment.

The Traveling Tidepool from the New England Aquarium will again join the party.

Splashy beach attire encouraged and bring a beach towel for a "picnic."

Admission is $10 per family, up to 5 people (AFC members); $5 per person, $20 maximum per family (non-AFC members).

Two Arlington Reservoir family season passes will be raffled off, as well as a variety of other fun and interesting prizes. All raffle proceeds will benefit the Arlington Recreation Department Scholarship Fund, which gives local families in need financial assistance to pay for Arlington Recreation summer programs for their young children.

Arlington Family Connection is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization that connects families with children age 6 and under in the greater Arlington area by providing educational and social opportunities for members. Whether new to life with children or new to the Arlington area, AFC brings families together through a community of well over 300 member families.
