| Basketball: Reading stays undefeated, tops AC in tourney final |

The Arlington Catholic girls' basketball team (19-2) lost the final of the Comcast tourney, 58-32, to Reading (20-0) on Sunday, Feb. 19. For more, click here >> The team had beaten Masconomet, 45-37, Saturday, Feb., 18 at Topsfield. Senior guard Emma Roberson scored a team-high 15 to lift the No. 3 Cougars over the No. 13 Chieftains (16-3) in the Comcast semifinals. For more, click here >> The Arlington High School boys' basketball team secured a place in the state tournament with a 52-45 win at Winchester (3-15) on Friday, Feb. 17. The Spy Ponders, now 10-10 overall were led by senior guard Brandon Castro, who had 18 points. Arlington Catholic boys (13-4) beat Bishop Fenwick (5-13) on Feb. 17, 70-59. Junior Kevin Connors led the Cougars with 29 points and 10 assists. AHS girls fell to 10-10 after they lost Feb. 17 at Winchester (3-15), 56-44. Do you want to more than the score?
