| Basketball: AC boys qualify for tourney; AHS wins in OT |

The Arlington Catholic boys' basketball team improved its record to 10-1 in a 62-44 shellacking of Bishop Fenwick (2-9) Friday, Jan. 27, in Arlington. The Cougars qualified for the state tournament behind John Mattera (17 points, 10 assists) and Matt Woods (16 points, 10 rebounds). Arlington High School boys, now 6-7, topped Wilmington (5-8), 66-58, in an overtime thriller Jan. 27 at Arlington. Paul Brooks had 14 points, 18 rebounds and 10 blocks for the Spy Ponders. AC girls improved to 12-1 with a 52-36 win at Bishop Fenwick (6-6). AHS girls fell to 5-7 with a 43-34 loss to a tough Wilmington squad (12-2). Do you want to more than the score?
