Stratton Spring Fling, auction May 14

Auction imageThe Stratton Spring Fling online auction, which closed Wednesday, May 12, at 6 p.m., resumes as a live auction on Friday, May 14, starting at 6 p.m. Raffle winners are to be announced at 8 p.m.

The site at http://strattonpride.net contains more than 100 items donated by local parents and businesses. You can continue to view the items you may want to bid on right up through Friday afternoon. Auction items range from cooking lessons to trombone lessons to vacations in Maine to Red Sox autographed baseballs (and tickets) to Disneyworld passes to kickball games with your favorite Stratton teachers to. You get the idea: there is a lot of stuff to bid on.

Bidding is open to anyone who registers on the site. Your e-mail address lets us contact you should you win, but also lets you know when you've been outbid. The site is run completely by the Stratton PTO. Any information you submit will only be used for the auction.

Items, numbering 120. include:

Gift certificates to restaurants and stores

Red Sox tickets -- multiple dates available so you are bound to find one to fit your schedule!

Vacation home rentals in Maine and New Hampshire!

Home improvement options: Storm door (including installation), painting consultation, gift card to hardware store

Massage and spa treatments

Summer camps: Arlington Children's Theater, hockey, and Meadowbreeze

Donations from staff at Stratton: Movie events with teachers, cooking lesson for kids, Principal for the Day, Nurse for the Day, Janitor for the Day, and of course the big kickball game between faculty and students followed by pizza.

On Friday afternoon, organizers will convert the highest of the online bids over to the live auction, which will resume Friday night at the Spring Fling.

Note that Friday night, we will close the auction in two phases: First items-close will be at about 7:30, and the rest of the items will close at 8:15. If you have bid on items but need to leave, check in with the auction staff to leave your contact information so we can finalize sales.

Admission to the Spring Fling is $5 per person or $20 per family, unless you opted out (having paid the $150 PTO membership) this year.

Activity/food tickets will be on sale $1 each. Organizers will again run the Theme Baskets raffle ($1 per ticket, or 6 for $5).
