| Curran elected School Committee chairman |

Denise Burns, who was chairman until March 31, was elected vice chairman. The new face among the top school leaders is Joseph Curro, who was elected to the board a year ago and will be the secretary. Curran congratulated newly elected member Cindy Starks and reelected member Jeff Thielman. Curran turned down the chairmanship a year ago. |

The School Committee elected new leaders April 14, but the faces are familiar. Joseph Curran, beginning his third year on the committee, was elected chairman.
