| New school subcommittees include legal review |
|
Curro noted that he had reduced subcommittees from five to four, had added a member to the contract negotiations panel and had established a temporary panel to review legal services. The contract for the committee's legal firm, Stoneman Chandler & Miller, ends in May. Before she declined to seek reelection, committee member Denise Burns, a persistent critic of that firm, urged the committee to review its performance. Named to the Legal Services Review Subcommittee were Curro, chair; Thielman and Pierce. The latter two are attorneys. All changes were approved, 7-0.
