| Town police arrest woman with $3,500 in cocaine |

Arlington police, with the help of an informant, have arrested a Boston woman who police said was found near a school with 60 grams of cocaine valued at $3,500. Dorka M. Urena-Demartinez of Tremont Street was charged Thursday, Feb. 2, on Lowell Street, not far from Peirce School, after a lengthy and complex investigation by the Suburban Middlesex County Drug Task Force, Capt. Richard Flynn said Feb. 3. "The Arlington Police Department is grateful for the hard work investigators devoted in making this arrest," he said. "We are pleased to have removed what we believe to be a large quantity supplier who was a direct conduit to the end users in this area." A police report if the 8:05 p.m. incident says: A known confidential informant informed police that cocaine was available from a Hispanic female named Anna, who would deliver the drug to Arlington. On a prior investigation detectives from the Middlesex County Drug Task Force and town police observed a suspect meet with the informant for short periods of time within the Town of Arlington. Through training and experience, police said the observations were consistent with that of narcotics distribution. No actions were taken at the time as not to compromise the current investigation. On Feb. 2 the informant ca11ed Anna at a 617 phone number and ordered an amount of cocaine. She was directed to come to the parking lot at 60 Lowell St. At this police time detectives boxed in the car and left their vehicles displaying badges and ordering operator to stop the vehicle. The operator then put the vehicle in reverse and backed car into the task force van. The passenger window was broken, and the operator was removed without incident. A search of the vehicle was conducted passengers, and police found 60 grams of suspected packaged cocaine in the pocket behind the seat. Police also found $626 in U.S. currency in the purse on the front passenger seat. Police weighed the package at 60 grams and said it tested positive for cocaine.
