 Barbara and Allan Tosti flank scholarship winners Amanda Gaeta and Rachel Jimenez.
The Nora Tosti Memorial Scholarship Fund awarded its first
scholarships to two Arlington women this year. Checks for $1,000 were
presented to Amanda Gaeta and Rachel Jimenez by Nora’s parents, Allan
and Barbara Tosti.
Amanda Gaeta is a 2007 graduate of Minuteman Regional High School. She is studying for an associate degree in early childhood education at
Middlesex Community College.
Rachel Jimenez is a 1996 graduate of Arlington High School. She is
studying for an associate degree in early childhood education at Bunker
Hill Community College. She has a 10-year-old daughter and is employed at Children’s Village in Cambridge.
The Nora Tosti Memorial Scholarship Fund will award a $1,000
scholarship each year to an Arlington resident working toward a certificate or associate degree in healthcare or childcare. Nora was
studying to be a medical assistant at the time of her death, in December
2005.
