The Board of Selectmen voted unanimously Sept. 24 to
reaffirm the affiliation between Teosinte, El Salvador, and Arlington,
now
approaching its 20th year, reported Beth Soltzberg, who is in charge of the
group supporting the affiliation. She also announced the sister-city
group has a new Web site.
The group's benefit concert featuring original folk music in Spanish
and English performed by Dean Stevens, David Dodson and friends has
been moved from Oct. 27 to Saturday, Dec. 8. The evening event will
feature delectable treats and a fair-trade Central American artisan’s
bazaar, an opportunity to buy holiday gifts.
