The following are the results of all polls conducted on this Web site, starting with the most recently concluded. All are unscientific and are limited by the options available. Despite this, they provide a snapshot of community opinion. If you have ideas for future polls, please let the publisher of this site know.

From 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, until 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, YourArlington published an unscientific poll that asked voters which Democratic Senate candidate they planned to choose. On Friday, Aug. 29, a similar question was asked about Republicans.

Until the last night of voting, Ken Donnelly was leading Jack Hurd, and the numbers below show what the spread was at that time. But early on Sept. 16, there was a surge of votes for J. James Marzilli Jr., showing just how unscientiifc Web polls are. Results:

Marzilli: 129 (44.6%)

Donnelly: 80 (27.7%)

Hurd: 69 (23.9%)

none: 6 ( 2.1%)

a write-in candidate: 5 (1.7%)

Number of voters:  289

For which Republican?

John Worden (write-in, not running): 11 (57.9%)

Brion Cangiamila (write-in): 3 (15.8%)

none: 3 (15.8%)

another write-in: 2 (10.5%)

Number of voters:  19
