ImageIn the 21st century, we live, work, and learn in a global arena. By traveling, students have the opportunity to learn in exciting novel ways to prepare them for a global future. Numerous educational tours are planned for 2008-2009; community members are encouraged and welcomed to join Arlington High School students.

Next April, two international educational tours are planned -- one to Spain and one to Germany and the Czech Republic. For further information or to enroll, e-mail Marie (Rad) Readuazzo, a teacher as AHS, at This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it

In May, a five-day tour of the U.S. South is planned of crucial historic sites of the civil-rights movement.

From May 22-26, the group plans to begin its tour in Atlanta, move on to Montgomery and Birmingham, Ala., and return to Atlanta. Stops will include Rosa Parks Museum, Sixteenth Street Baptist Church, Birmingham Civil Rights Museum, MLK Birth Site/Center for Non-Violent Protest and Ebenezer Baptist Church.

The tour will include the Georgia Aquarium, CNN Center, Olympic Park and the Georgia Dome. This adventure includes airfare, all entrance fees, hotels and two meals a day.

This tour is open to students and adults from the community.
