Veteran Arlington Selectman Jack Hurd, a Democratic candidate for the Fourth Middlesex state Senate seat, opened his campaign headquarters at 75 Summer St., most recently the location of the Little Brick Barn. The headquarters for rival Democrat Ken Donnelly have opened at 1185 Mass. Ave., Arlington, next to the Millbrook Animal Clinic.

Hurd said his headquarters aims to help citizens reach him directly with questions or comments.

The July office hours will include Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 6 to 9 and Saturday mornings from 9 to noon.

For more information about the Hurd campaign, see www.jackhurdforsenate.com or by call 781-648-2169.
