FBI released photo of robbery suspect at an unidentified bank. The FBI has released surveillance photographs of a suspect in seven
Boston-area bank robberies, including one in May in Arlington, hoping
to spur tips from the public. The suspect is believed to be wearing a
large, black goatee, which may be fake. During these robberies, the
suspect enters the bank, passes a note to the teller and then takes the
note back. On occasion, the subject threatens to take a hostage.
May 14: Brookline Savings robbed
On May 13, he hit the Brookline Bank, 856 Mass. Ave., across from the high school.
The other banks that the FBI has connected in this case this year are:
Citizens Bank, 2000 Beacon St., Brighton, on Jan. 28 and March 20.
Cambridge Trust Co., 343 Huron Ave., Cambridge, on Feb. 4.
Sovereign Bank, 487 Harvard St., Brookline, on March 20.
Citizens Bank, 2000 Beacon St., Brighton, on March 29.
Middlesex Fed. Savings Bank, 1196 Broadway St., Somerville, on April 14.
People's Federal Savings Bank, 229 N. Harvard Ave., Allston, on June 5.
According to the FBI, witnesses describe the subject as a White male, 20 to 30 years old, 5-feet-8 to 6-feet-1, weighing about 180 pounds with a trim build, dark hair, sunken cheeks, with a large, possibly fake, black goatee.
Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 617-742-5533 or the Arlington police.
