Officer Mike Hogan and Arlington’s police dog, Dasty, received congratulatory citations from the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
Mike McCabe from Rep. Sean Garballey’s office made the presentation
June 10 at Thompson School’s annual barbecue, where more than 500
children and adults enjoyed the cookout, the spray pool and each
other’s company. The citations congratulated Hogan for “serving and
protecting the citizens of Arlington everyday, for winning first place
in the 2008 U.S. Police Canine Association narcotics certification and
competition and for training and caring for Dasty.”
Dasty’s citation congratulated him “for serving and protecting the
citizens of Arlington everyday and for winning first place in the 2008
United States Police Canine Association narcotics certification and
competition.”
The citations were presented to Hogan and Dasty from Speaker Sal DiMasi and
the Arlington House delegation, Reps
Garballey, Will Brownsberger and Jay
Kaufman.
“We’re all proud of Mike Hogan and the Arlington Police
Department, they do a great job everyday,” said Garballey, who called
in his congratulations. “As a dog lover I’m also proud of Dasty’s work.
He is a great addition to our Police Department.”
