If you’ve been to Menotomy Rocks Park with a bike or stroller lately, you’ve likely noted the new, smoother pathways, observed new native-species plantings, or thrown a stick for Fido to fetch out of the clean pond. Perhaps you’ve enjoyed Shakespeare in the Park at Menotomy or played with your kids on the playground installed by the Friends of Menotomy in 1996. Perhaps your child has attended a school field trip or a nature class at this beautiful natural park -- or perhaps you’ve attended an event like Earth Day, or the upcoming Menotomy Rocks Park grand reopening celebration (to be announced soon).
The Town of Arlington and the nonprofit Friends of Menotomy Rocks Park Inc. enjoy one of the more successful public-private park stewardship partnerships around, and this partnership will help preserve this natural gem for future generations. The work of the friends is funded by contributions from members.
Now, the FMRP is offering park visitors a chance to help Menotomy Rocks Park even more by purchasing a variety of unique, locally designed and printed products, including short- and long-sleeved Tshirts, maps, caps, aprons, and art cards.
Website purchases support the Friends' projects in the park, and delivery to Arlington addresses is free.
Arrangements can be made for shipping outside of Arlington.
Please visit the FMRP Web site for more on upcoming events at the park, and to visit the Web store.
