Manager reveals '09 budget proposal, says 5-year plan working |

 Town Manager Brian F. Sullivan presented to selectmen Feb. 11 the fiscal 2009 budget proposal, year four of Arlington’s five-year plan. “The five-year plan is working,” said Sullivan, “but not without its challenges. Arlington’s ability to raise revenue is limited, the community is built out and state aid is virtually nonexistent. Add rising costs for healthcare, energy and operations, and it's clear Arlington has to keep a tight rein on expenses to maintain its commitment to the five-year plan.”
