Fourth grader Georgia Grady as “mishap.” The excitement was palpable at the Bishop School recently as children
"became" words. Clap, clap, clapclapclap! Steven Carme, the school's
principal, led children in rhythmic clapping to hush excited students
assembled in the auditorium. Everyone fell into the beat. Inspired by
events in the children's book, Miss Alaineus by Debra Fraser, library
teacher Amy Kremer launched the Bishop's first Vocabulary Parade, on
May 8, to celebrate events in a book read by second- and fifth-grade
library classes and to stimulate word knowledge and fun.

The Middlesex District Attorney's Office said May 13 that, after an investigation, it did not have enough evidence to prove criminal charges beyond a reasonable doubt in an accusation brought against Sen. J. James Marzilli. The senator's lawyer said that his client "got the decision he expected, that he is innocent."

Three Arlington Democratic candidates for the Fourth Middlesex
Senate District will be eligible for the primary, based on the number
of signatures certified by the town clerk’s office. Democrats
Jack Hurd, Jim Marzilli and Ken Donnelly, gathered more than the 300
required signatures in Arlington alone.
Republican candidate and
Billerica resident Brion Cangiamila also took out papers to run for the
seat Marzilli has held since his special election victory last December. Cangiamila lost to Marzilli in that election.
