Former Arlington Selectwoman Annie LaCourt and her husband pleaded not guilty in Middlesex District Court on Friday, Dec. 21, to charges stemming from what police call an underage drinking party at their home Oct. 19.
LaCourt and Mark Burstein, in Cambridge District Court in Medford, entered not-guilty pleas to 33 counts of furnishing alcohol to a person under 21. They were released on their own recognizance and were ordered back for a pretrial hearing, set for Jan. 30. YourArlington is trying to learn what occurred.
LaCourt's and Burstein’s attorney, Thomas Brant of Boston, said the couple also entered not-guilty pleas to three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor earlier this week during an arraignment in juvenile court that was not open to the public. Arlington police had reported that the Dec. 19 hearing was continued to February.
The prosecutor assigned to this case is Assistant District Attorney Christopher Minue. The victim witness advocate is Kaitlyn Mabee.
