Artist Talk
13FOREST is pleased to host a discussion with CW Roell eabout his captivating wire sculptures from Out of Thin Air.

Roelle began drawing with wire when, after looking at a figure drawing he had just made in class, he wanted to reach into the paper, grab the line and move it with his hands. Please join us for a reception with the artist to hear more about his unique process and inspirations onFriday 10/10, 7-9 pm, with the talk beginning at 7:30.

Fall Exhibit

Opening Reception:Friday, October 24, 7-9 pm

An exhibition based on modern reinterpretations of the one-sheet broadside. This body of work finds its place between the ephemeral, commercialized object and something more lasting, tactile, and intimate or conceptual. The artists investigate a range of interests including those of aesthetics, politics, humor, cartoons, poetics, and social issues. By conflating message and medium,Broadsideexplores how outmoded means of communication continue to hold sway in the contemporary imagination.
