As you drive westbound on Summer past Hospital Road, you arrive at a new intersection. Hemlock, to the right, previously had a lane angling off Summer. That has been closed, and access to Hemlock is via a sharp right turn.

A tall pine on property at King Street and Summer on Dec. 9, 2006. The resident says work has exposed too many roots, which may cause it to fall. A small wall has been built next to the new sidewalk.

The west side of Summer Street between King and Overlook sports a new sidewalk on Dec. 9, 2006, but original plans to have a walk on the opposite side of Summer has not been built, because removal of ledge there proved too difficult and possibly dangerous
