Twelve Arlington High School students have been selected, by audition, to perform in the Northeast District Orchestra Band and Chorus. Based on the audition results, six students were recommended to audition for the All-State Ensembles, to perform in concert at Boston Symphony Hall on Saturday, March 2, during the MMEA All-State Music Conference.
This year’s selected students are, front row from left, Margaret McCarthy, Nathan Canada, Bennet Parsons, Will Doyle, Jack Libresco, Gabriel Adams-Keene; back row, Abigail Fowler, Allie Holt, Olivia Vik-Sheehy, Savannah Holmes, Morgan Jackson, Sylvia Rosenberg.
To perform in the All-State Ensembles are Parsons, Doyle, McCarthy and Jackson.
Sponsored by the Massachusetts Music Educators Association (MMEA), these ensembles exist to recognize the achievements of advanced music students.
After intense hours of rehearsals, all the ensembles perform in the annual Northeast District Concert.
