Clothing sale

UPDATED, Sept. 21: Fashion at the Fox, a women's used-clothing sale to benefit the Fox Library, has scheduled a sale for Friday, Sept. 25, 5 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 26, 1 to 5 p.m., in the lower level of the Fox library, 175 Mass Ave, East Arlington.

Bargain hunters will be lining up outside the Fox waiting for the doors to open at the pop-up store and community fund-raiser that has become a mecca for shoppers from Arlington and beyond.

This sale's inventory of more than 2,000 items includes contemporary women's clothing and accessories in like-new condition, many with original tags, vintage clothing and accessories, and an eclectic selection of gently-used house wares. Prices average $4 per item.

The store will pop up again in December during Arlington’s First Lights event.

Since its first sale in February of 2009, Fashion at the Fox has raised more than $80,000 for local causes, including Arlington’s public schools and a fund for street trees. Proceeds from this fall’s sale will benefit the Friends of the Fox Library.
